[40K - Imperial Guard] 15th Hyrkan - Ministorum Priest

Nostalgia is funny thing.

Those rose-coloured glasses one uses to look at the past are definitely not a prescription pair. I originally started collecting Warhammer 40,000 back in the final days of Rogue Trader and as a result my formative years were spent painting 2nd Edition lead (and then white metal) miniatures. If asked to name some of my favourite models, I'd probably reel off a list from the early to mid nineties based on hazy memories.

[40K - Imperial Guard] 15th Hyrkan - Platoon Commander

A new year, a new army - thus rises the 15th Hyrkan, a freshly-minted regiment raised from the Imperial planet Hyrkan mentioned in the Gaunt's Ghost series of novels by Dan Abnett. Commissar-General Delane Oktar and his boys may be long gone, but hopefully these lads can uphold the legacy.

[Review] Foldio2 from Orangemonkie.

What better way to start a blog about miniature painting then with a brief review of a product that will get nearly as much use as the paints and brushes in my collection. One of my pet peeves in the world of miniature war-gaming on the internet is poor photography - people will spend countless hours and hefty sums of money on equipment to bring miniatures to life, only to ruin it all with substandard, out-of-focus, poorly-lit pictures.
